3 Days / 2 Night

Day 1

Leaving San Pedro heading La Tigra (7.00 a.m.). During the ride you will get the chance to observe precious landscapes such us lakes, mountains, little villages and the changing vegetation zones. On our way we make a short stop over in Siguatepeque where you will get the chance to observe handicraft workshops and their products.
Arrival in Tegucigalpa around noon. Tegucigalpa is the capital of this small country.
Lunch in Tegucigalpa
After lunch we visit the famous Valle de Angeles a small and picturesque town located in a valley surrounded by mountains nearby Tegucigalpa – locals call it the Honduran Switzerland. Here we can explore a typical colonial town and its markets.
After our short visit to Valle de Angeles we continue our trip to the National park of La Tigra.

In the early morning hours (5.00 a.m.) we start our hike through the cloud forest in order to see some birds and mammals forming the wildlife of this place. The biodiversity of this place is breathtaking. Here we will see the hugest trees, hundreds of different Ferns, Bromeliads and Orchids such as more. After a short break and maybe a second breakfast – we continue our trip towards Cerro Azul Meámbar (11.00 a.m.)

Lodging at “Los Pinos” in the National park

We get up early again to hike the park. The clean trails go up the mountain taking us to beautiful waterfalls and vantage points from where we can see over the Lake Yojoa. Of course we hope to get a chance to see some of the wildlife of this place such as birds and mammals living in their natural environment. The park itself is also a sanctuary for the tropical flowers in the cloud forests.
Lunch
After lunch we head back to San Pedro Sula.
